Some time since I have been on water, but need to get my FON questionairre score up, so decided to go out.

Very light winds and no real chance of getting going so rigged the old 5.7 as it is a nice light sail combo. cruised around for a while and gave some friendly advice to a girl who was having a spot of bother getting back to shore without her centre fin.

Pulled some nice fast tacks and flare gybes, but can't count them as I was sailing the Phoenix. Tried to sail 'front to sail' but there was not enough wind.

Went in for lunch, then mucked about in shallows helping the (very large, very pregnant) wife get back on the board for a bit. Then took Zena, the local windsurf shops dog, out for a sail....she is very happy on the front of a board!

Wind then kicked in for about 15 minutes. Nearly got on the plane, but small fin and small sail prevented any real action. Couple of formula boards were "going for it" a bit further out....jealous???? me.....never!!!!!

Good to get back on the water after nearly a month off. Higher score than should be as the sun shone, the water was warm and I never fell in!...oh and had a good BBQ in the evening with friends.
